Riyadh-Mubasher: The Saudi bourse's benchmark TASI edged up 0.04% or 3.75 points to close Thursday at 9,757 points.

More than 179.7 million shares changed hands through over 114,000 transactions at a turnover exceeding SAR 6 billion.

Rounding up sectors, 9 declined, led by the agriculture and petrochemical industry sectors which fell 0.72% and 0.48%, respectively. Meanwhile, six sectors advanced, topped by the real estate development and industrial investment sectors which climbed 1.92% and 1.64%, respectively.

Wrapping up equities, fallers eclipsed risers 85 to 52. SACO led the way in gains, rocketing 7.25% to SAR 140.75, followed by Mouwasat which jumped 4.90% to SAR 149.75.

On the downward level, Sadafco was the biggest drag, falling 2.16% to SAR 136. Maadaniya had the second-worst showing, sliding 2.07% to SAR 39.70.

Alinma Bank was the most active in terms of trading volume and value, after 23.2 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of SAR 562.3 million. The stock fell 0.08% at SAR 24.15.
